Compact Flash Install

This install is the general procedure to install zeroshell on a Alix/Soekris board.

• Download the last version of zeroshell compact flash image

wget http://mirror.switch.ch/ftp/mirror/zeroshell/ZeroShell-1.0.betaXX-ALIX-CompactFlash-1GB.img.gz

• Uncompress the gzipped downloaded file

gunzip ZeroShell-1.0.betaXX-ALIX-CompactFlash-1GB.img.gz

• using the dd tool for linux, copy the image into de compact flash card.

Using the wrong device (/dev/sdX) could cause serious damage to your disc, double check what are you doing.

dd < ZeroShell-1.0.betaXX-ALIX-CompactFlash-1GB.img > /dev/sdX

• Plug your CF card and you are ready to go.
